The side by side white refrigerator has always been able to hold a lot of food. Leftovers of the large pan of Lasagna made last week to the quart of milk that is a sold white mass in the cartoon. One can also see the amount of alcohol it can hold. A case of beer fits nicely in each drawer of the crisper. A few bottles of Amaretto also fit nicely in the door. There is also room to fit condiments such as a bottle of ketchup, mayo, mustard and a bottle of ranch dressing that gets used maybe twice a year. My roommates and I have decided that we no longer need such a big fridge when all we like to keep in there is a case of beer and a few frozen pizzas in the freezer. Why waste so much space when it isn't necessary. Asking price $50 plus a case of beer.
Smell of clothes hung outside
So with the weather being in the 50's and a nice breeze I decided to do the one thing that I have been itching since the weather has started getting nice out....hang clothes outside. Needless to say my towels that I hung out did not fully dry and I ended up putting them in the dryer to finish drying. At least they will still have some of the fresh air smell on them.I haven't always been this way. Growing up my mom always hung clothes outside including our socks and underwear! I strongly disliked the smell of the fresh air on them. Let alone putting on "stiff socks". My mother didn't believe in putting them in the dryer to soften them up. She always said "that just defeats the purpose of hanging them outside." As I got older I refused to have my shirts hung outside. My mom said that if I didn't want them hung outside I had to hang them on hangers myself and put them on a rack she had. Of course that has all changed for me. My husband says that both my mother and I are weird because we hang clothes on the clothes line. I always say it takes less time to wash and dry all the clothes as I don't have to wait for each load to dry in the dryer and we save on electricity although I don't think we save a ton of money on our electric bill but I enjoy doing it so I am going to continue.

Itchy Feet
When I heard the words itchy feet I automatically thought of my dry scaly feet. My dry scaly feet is one of the many attributes I received from my mother. There is nothing worse then when things stick to your feet because they are dry. My heels are the worse. Recently I had one of them crack and bleed. It was very painful as every time I took as step the crack would reopen and start to bleed again. The summer time isn't as bad as the winter time. During the winter months I usually have to put Vaseline on my feet and then put my socks on for the day. As long as I do this on a regular basis I am able to prevent them from cracking. Feet what would we do without them?

Vacation in Mexico
So over spring break when I should have been home doing things aroud the house I was baking in the Mexico sun. My husband & I went to Los Cobos home of Sylvster Stalone's vaction home. Whether he as more than one I am not sure. I didn't get to see his house personally but I did get to see the hill it was on along with some other celebrities, whom I don't remember there name. While there we went on a city tour of Cabo San Lucos and San Jose Del Cabo. On the tour we seen the famous arch and stopped at a glas blowing factory. The resort we stayed at was located half way between the two cities. Had a great time just relaxng with no worries (until of course the day we came home). We also went on a Rhino tour. Being the blonde that I am I asked my husband if we really got to see rhinos. When he gave me the reply "are you serious" I knew I had asked an off the wall question. I soon found out the answer was obvously no it was pretty much an ATV ride which was vey very dusty!
The day we came home was a nightmare. When we left the resort they had the beach closed because of tsunami warnings from Japans earthquake. We had a connecting flight in Minneapolis which was to depart at 9:40p.m. As we are all boarded the pilot says that we have to wait until the vsibility is better in Fargo as that is where we are to land. Finally, at 11:05p.m. we are told that we won't be flying out until 7:15 the next morning.. Lets just saying sleeping in an airport is not my cup of tea. I just want to get home and see my babies who I haven't seen in a week and sleep in my own comfortable bed.
Finally, around 1pm on Saturday we make it to my mom's to pick up the kids who I think are more excited to see dad then mom as he got all th hugs. Overall much needed fun and relaxation was had.

Much needed vacation!
With spring break right around the corner that means one thing for me~~~Mexico! My husband and I are going on a much needed vaction for a week. This is nothing new for us. In 2008 we went to Puerto Vallerta, Mexico for or honeymoon, 2009 we went back there for a our anniversry and 2010 we did not go as we had a newborn. This year we are going to Los Cobos, Mexico. Need to explore another area of Mexico.
Planning trips like this is not easy at all! We have three kids and trying to find someone that is willing to watch them for that long is at times like trying to find a needle in a haystack. This time we are lucky that my mom will be laid off from her job and she is going to tackle have a 10,3 and 1 year old run around her house for a week.
With that being said I need to go shopping for summer clothes for myself, make sure everything in the house is in order in other words house SPOTLESS! Last thing I want to do is come home and have to clean my house because I didn't do it before we left. I also have to make sure that the kids--all 3 of them have everything they will need for a week. I have done it for 2 for a week can I handle one more?
Eleven more days and I will be on my way to enjoy some sun and relaxation.

Favorite Memory
I'm not sure that I have a favorite memory but after doing my last blog I have one that I like to think about. My daughter has taught me a lot in the past 10 years and I thank her everyday for it
The day is June 1, 2000 at 9:52 pm. After being in labor all day I hear the doctor say "It's a girl." He then goes on to say that she looks like her mommy. I took one look at her and my exact thoughts were she is ugly! The nurse cleaned her up and gave her to her daddy to hold. I was then asked if I wanted to hold her. I dd but only for a few minutes as I couldn't get it out of my eyes that she wasn't ugly but my beautiful daughter who I would name Alexis Vivian.
Through out the night as the nurses came in to check I me I did ask them how Alexis was doing. Besides not wanting to suck on a bottle she was doing good. My aw moment came when I went to the nurses station and asked if I could see my baby. Did I just hear myself say "my baby." Of course I could see her she was mine. They asked me if I wanted to watch them give her a bath. Being a first time mom I am listening to them explain the important do's and dont's of giving an infant. They proceed to take off her hat and for some odd reason my thought of her being ugly has floated out of my mind. There I see it. The light blond hair that she has. The golden blanket on her head that I failed to see while I was holding her for the first time. That was the moment I realized I had a beautiful baby girl who would come to teach me a great deal of the importance of not taking things for granted. One never knows what cards they are going to get dealt in the game of life.
